25 Days To a Happier You- Day 10

This is a 25-day Course in Happiness.
I guarantee that if you do these steps every day, you will see a difference in your attitude, your mood and your productivity.
Best of all, it’s completely FREE…the only thing I ask of you is to share it with as many people as you possibly can.
Pay it forward, you’ll feel great.

What a way to start 2012!

Day 10
Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.

This can be a tall order sometimes. We all have people who have wronged us, hurt us deeply, maybe even irrevocably. We would be well within our rights to ‘hate’ them. But what I have learned is that ultimately hating someone really only hurts the person carrying the hate. It rarely effects the person it is intended to hurt, because they don’t generally care enough for it to matter.

I am not saying that whatever the person has done to us is OK, but we release ourselves from some of our own pain by refusing to give our energy to a negative and unproductive cause.

I encourage you to spend your time and energy focusing on building yourself up in positive ways and trust that in the end, we all reap what we sow. Eventually, everyone has to pay the consequences for his/her actions, even though we may not be lucky enough to see that happen.

You can be sure that you will be much happier if you live by today’s mantra. Say it over and over again until it becomes second nature and when things get tough, it will be easier to follow through and release yourself from the hatred you might be feeling.
